In Rome, refers to the legal concept of equity or fairness between individuals.
A symbol of “the honest measure”.

Social Condition
The existing location of the unoccupied CBE building has become a dormant, unappealing, inaccessible, and not useful area of downtown that has the potential to leverage the new and existing public infrastructure nearby. These buildings include Telus Sky, The Bow, the New Calgary Central Library, Bow Valley College, and the Olympic Plaza area. This site is a central element of the downtown core and could have increased utilization to give place to a community within a community that provides assisted income residences mixed with for-profit residences to reduce segregation, increase community growth, and create equitable opportunities.
Mission
To promote and develop social equity and equality with the integration of a 20-minute community through the use of principals of community growth, transportation, and access to resources.
Vision
A vertical system of both subsidized and for-profit residences adjacent to activated public space will create a micro community with people from all backgrounds. Residents will have semi-private cohabitation spaces throughout the upper portion of the building which will foster community building. On the lower levels convenient access to public retail, services, restaurants, and other amenities will be provided within the building. Public spaces will be activated by existing site influences including pathways such as the plus 15 network, and will service the public by providing habitable natural courtyard and rooftop spaces as circulation which provides access to the diverse building services.
